Prophecy involves a process in which one or more messages are allegedly communicated by a god. Such messages typically involve inspiration, interpretation, or revelation of divine will concerning the prophet's social world and events to come (compare divine knowledge). Prophecy is not limited to any one culture. It is a common property to all known ancient societies around the world, some more than others. Many systems and rules about prophecy have been proposed over several millennia.

When the Day of Judgement, or Youm-al Qiyamah, approaches, the world will come to an end and all will be destroyed. Each and every individual will have to account for his/her actions, and their final fate will be decided by Allah. We have been warned about the approach of Qiyamat in many Quranic verses and Ahadith. There many signs that will tell us that the Day of Judgement is near, and in the recent times these signs have become more evident. Thus, the Muslim Ummah should be aware of this and each person should prepare himself by being virtuous and abstaining from sin.

The 77 Minor Signs of Qiyamat

1. Time will pass rapidly. [Bukhari, Muslim, & Ahmad]

2. Good deeds will decrease. [Bukhari]

3. People will become miserly. [Bukhari]

4. There will be much killing and murder.  [Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Majah, & Ahmad]

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Holy Prophet said, “Time will pass rapidly, good deeds will decrease, miserliness will be thrown (in the hearts of the people), afflictions will appear and there will be much ‘Al-Harj.'” They said, “O Allah’s Messenger! What is ‘Al-Harj?’ He said, “Killing! Killing!”

5. Power and authority will be given to wrong people. [Bukhari]

6. Honesty will be lost. [Bukhari]

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that, while the Holy Prophet was saying something in a gathering, a Bedouin came and asked him, “When will the Hour (Day of Judgement) take place?” Allah’s Messenger continued his talk, so some people said that he had heard the question but did not like what the Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Allah’s Messenger had not heard it. When the Holy Prophet finished his speech, he said,”Where is the questioner, who enquired about the Hour (Day of Judgement)?” The Bedouin said, “I am here, O Allah’s Messenger .” Then the Holy Prophet said, “When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour.” The Bedouin said, “How will that be lost?” The Holy Prophet said, “When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for the Hour.”

7. The disappearance of knowledge and the appearance of ignorance [Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Majah, & Ahmad]

Narrated Hazrat Abdullah and Hazrat Abu Musa: The Holy Prophet said, “Near the establishment of the Hour, there will be days during which religious ignorance will spread, knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and there will be much Al-Harj, and Al-Harj means killing.”

8. A mountain of gold will be disclosed from beneath the River Euphrates, but we are not to take anything from it.

Narrated Hazrat Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger said, “Soon the River Euphrates will disclose the treasure (the mountain) of gold, so whoever will be present at that time should not take anything of it.”

9. The appearance of 30 false messengers. [Bukhari]

10. Two large groups, adhering to the same religious teaching, will fight each other with large numbers of casualties. [Bukhari & Muslim]

11. Earthquakes will increase [Bukhari & Muslim]

12. Wealth will be in abundance, to the extent that it will be difficult to find someone in need of Zakat. [Bukhari]

13. When people begin to compete with others in the construction of taller buildings. [Bukhari]

14. A man will pass by a grave and wish that he was in their place. [Bukhari]

Narrated Hazrat Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger said, “The Hour will not be established (1) till two big groups fight each other whereupon there will be a great number of casualties on both sides and they will be following one and the same religious doctrine, (2) till about thirty Dajjals [liars] appear, and each one of them will claim that he is Allah’s Messenger, (3) till religious knowledge is taken away [by the death of religious scholars] (4) earthquakes will increase in number (5) time will pass quickly, (6) afflictions will appear, (7) Al-Harj, [i.e., killing] will increase, (8) till wealth will be in abundance – so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest nobody should accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person [to whom it will be offered] will say, ‘I am not in need of it, (9) till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings, (10) till a man when passing by a grave of someone will say, ‘Would that I were in his place (11) and till the sun rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it [rising from the West], they will all believe [embrace Islam] but that will be the time when: [As Allah said] ‘No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before, nor earned good [by deeds of righteousness] through its Faith.’ (Holy Qur’an 6:158) And the Hour will be established while two men are spreading a garment infront of them, but they will not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk, but he will not be able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a tank [for his livestock] is able to water [his animals] in it; and the Hour will be established when a person has raised a morsel [of food] to his mouth but will not be able to eat it.”

15. The conquest of Constantinople by the Muslims. [Ahmad, Muslim]

Hazrat Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger as saying: “The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land at al-A’maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from Madinah (to counteract them). When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans would say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them; and the Muslims would say: Nay, by Allah, we would never get aside from you and from our brethren that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third (part of the army). which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah’s eye, would be killed and the third, who would never be put to trial, would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople. And as they would be busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves), after hanging their swords by the olive trees, the Satan would cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your family. They would then come out, but it would be of no avail. And when they would come to Syria, he would come out while they would be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus, son of Mary, would descend and would lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah would see him, it would (disappear) just as the salt dissolves itself in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely, but Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his weapon (the weapon of Jesus).”

16. Stones and trees will help the Muslims fight against the Jews.

Hazrat Abu Huraira reported Allaah’s Messenger as saying: “The last Hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allaah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.”

[Sahih Muslim, Hadith no. 6985]

17. The consumption of intoxicants will be widespread. [Bukhari & Muslim]

18. Adultery and fornication will be prevalent. [Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Majah]

19. Women will outnumber men, eventually the ratio will be 50 women to 1 man. [Bukhari, Muslim, & Ahmad]

Narrated Hazrat Anas bin Malik: I heard from Allah’s Messenger a narration which none other than I will narrate to you. The Prophet said, “From among the portents of the Hour are the following: General ignorance (in religious affairs) will prevail, (religious) knowledge will decrease, illegal sexual intercourse will prevail, alcoholic drinks will be drunk (in abundance), men will decrease and women will increase, so much so that, for every fifty women there will be one man to look after them.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Hadith no. 483]

20. People will strive for power about mosques.

Narrated by Hazrat Anas bin Malik: The Holy Prophet said, “The Last Hour will not come until people vie with one another about mosques.”

21. Adultery and fornication will be prevalent. [Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Majah]

22. People will cheat with goods. [Ibn Majah]

23. Paying Zakat becomes a burden and miserliness becomes widespread; charity is given reluctantly. [Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah]

24. Leaders will not rule according to the Commands of Allah.

Hazrat Abdullah ibn Umar said, “The Prophet came to us and said, ‘O Muhajirun, (emigrants from Makkah to Madinah), you may be afflicted by five things; God forbid that you should live to see them. If fornication should become widespread, you should realise that this has never happened without new diseases befalling the people, which their forebears never suffered. If people should begin to cheat in weighing out goods, you should realise that this has never happened without drought and famine befalling the people, and their rulers oppressing them. If people should withhold zakat, you should realise that this has never happened without the rain being stopped from falling; and were it not for the animals’ sake, it would never rain again. If people should break their covenant with Allah and His Messenger, you should realise that this has never happened without Allah sending an enemy against them to take some of their possessions by force. If the leaders do not govern according to the Book of Allah, you should realise that this has never happened without Allah making them into groups and making them fight one another.”

25. Only the rich receive a share of any gains, and the poor do not. [Tirmidhi]

26. The leader of a people will be the worst of them. [Tirmidhi]

27. A trust is used to make a profit. [Tirmidhi]

28. When a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother; and treats his friend kindly while shunning his father. [Tirmidhi]

29. When voices are raised in the mosques. [Tirmidhi]

30. People will treat a man with respect out of fear for some evil he might do. [Tirmidhi]

31. Men will begin to wear silk. [Tirmidhi]

32. Female singers and musical instruments will become popular. [Tirmidhi]

33. When the last ones of the Ummah begin to curse the first ones. [Tirmidhi]

Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib said, “The Prophet said: ‘If my Ummah bears fifteen traits, tribulation will befall it.’ Someone asked, ‘What are they, O Messenger of Allah?’ He said, ‘When any gain is shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor; when a trust becomes a means of making a profit; when paying Zakat becomes a burden; when a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother; and treats his friend kindly whilst shunning his father; when voices are raised in the mosques; when the leader of a people is the worst of them; when people treat a man with respect because they fear some evil he may do; when much wine is drunk; when men wear silk; when female singers and musical instruments become popular; when the last ones of this Ummah curse the first ones – then let them expect a red wind, or the earth to swallow them, or to be transformed into animals.’ “

34. The nations of the Earth will gather against the Muslims like hungry people going to sit at a table full of food. This will occur when the Muslims are large in number, but “like the foam of the sea”.

Hazrat Thauban reported that the Messenger of Allah said, “It is near that the nations will call one another against you, just as the eaters call one another to their dishes.” Somebody asked, “Is this because we will be few in numbers that day?” He said, “Nay, that day you shall be numerous, but you will be like the foam of the sea, and Allah will take the fear of you away from your enemies and will place weakness into your hearts.” Somebody asked, “What is this weakness?” He said, “The love of the world and the dislike of death.”

35. The Muslim conquest of Jerusalem. [Bukhari]

36. A great plague will spread over the land – may be in reference to the plague of Amwas during the Caliphate of Hazrat Umar ibn al-Khattab. [Bukhari]

37. Wealth will increase so much so that if a man were given 10,000, he would not be content with it. [Ahmad & Bukhari]

38. A trial will arise in Arabia which will not spare a single household. [Ahmad & Bukhari]

39. A treaty will be made between the Muslims and the Westerners – which they will breach with an army of 12,000 soldiers under 80 banners. [Bukhari]

Hazrat Auf bin Malik reported: “I came to the Holy Prophet during the battle of Tabuk while he was in a leather tent, and he said: ‘Count six things before the last hour: my death, then the conquest of Jerusalem, then the contagious disease that will overtake you like the disease of cattle, then the excess of wealth, so much that when a man shall be given a hundred dinars he shall remain dissatisfied, then trial from which not a single house in Arabia shall be spared, then a treaty between you and the Westerners (Banu Asfar – the Romans), but they shall cheat you and march against you under 80 banners with 12,000 soldiers under each banner.”

Other signs mentioned in Hadith Sharif include:

40. Books/writing will be widespread and (religious) knowledge will be low. [Ahmad]

41. People will beat others with whips like the tails of oxen – this may be in reference to the slave trade. [Muslim]

42. Children will be filled with rage. [at-Tabarani, al-Hakim]

43. Children will be foul. [at-Tabarani, al-Hakim]

44. Women will conspire. [at-Tabarani, al-Hakim

45. Rain will be acidic or burning – reference to acid rain. [at-Tabarani, al-Hakim]

46. Children of fornication will become widespread or prevalent. [at-Tabarani, al-Hakim]

47. When a trust becomes a means of making a profit. [Tirmidhi, Al-Haythami]

48. Episodes of sudden death will become widespread. [Ahmad]

49. There will be people who will be brethren in public, but enemies in secret. (When asked how that would come about, he replied, “Because they will have ulterior motives in their mutual dealings, and at the same time they will fear one another.”) [Tirmidhi]

50. People will walk in the marketplace with their thighs exposed.

51. Great distances will be traversed in short spans of time – reference to vehicles, aeroplanes.

52. The people of Iraq will recieve no food and no money due to oppression by the Romans (Europeans). [Muslim]

53. People will hop between the clouds and the earth.

54. When singers become common. [Al-Haythami]

55. People will dance late into the night.

56. People will claim to follow the Qur’an but will reject Hadith & Sunnah. [Abu Dawood]

57. People will believe in the stars. [Al-Haythami]

58. People will reject al-Qadr (the Divine Decree of Destiny). [Al-Haythami]

59. Smog will appear over cities because of the evil that they are doing.

60. People will be carrying on with their trade, but there will only be a few trustworthy persons.

61. There will be attempts to make the deserts green.

62. Women will be naked in spite of being dressed, these women will be led astray & will lead others astray. [Muslim]

63. The conquest of India by the Muslims, just prior to the return of Prophet Jesus, son of Mary. [Ahmad, an-Nisa’i, Tabarani, al-Hakim]

64. There will be a special greeting for the people of distinction. [Ahmad]

65. Wild animals will be able to talk to humans. [Ahmad]

66. A man will leave his home and his thigh or hip will tell him what is happening back at his home. [Ahmad]

67. Years of deceit in which the truthful person will not be believed and the liar will be believed. [Ahmad]

68. Bearing false witness will become widespread. [Al-Haythami & Ahmad]

69. When men lie with men, and women lie with women. [Al-Haythami]

70. Trade will become so widespread that a woman will be forced to help her husband in business. [Ahmad]

71. A woman will enter the workforce out of love for this world. [Ahmad]

72. Arrogance will increase in the earth. [Tabarani, al-Hakim]

73. Family ties will be cut. [Ahmad]

74. There will be many women of child-bearing age who will no longer give birth.

75. There will be an abundance of food, much of which has no blessing in it.

76. People will refuse when offered food.

77. Men will begin to look like women and women will begin to look like men.

He Comes as . . . The Maitreya (Buddhist Prophecies)

“At that period, brethren, there will arise in the world an Exalted One named Maitreya, Fully Awakened, abounding in wisdom and goodness, happy, with knowledge of the worlds, unsurpassed as a guide to mortals willing to be led, a teacher for gods and men, an Exalted One, a Buddha, even as I am now. He, by himself, will thoroughly know and see, as it were face to face, this universe, with Its worlds of the spirits, Its Brahmas and Its Maras, and Its world of recluses and Brahmins, of princes and peoples, even as I now, by myself, thoroughly know and see them” (Digha Nikaya, 26).

This prophecy by Guatama Buddha is very ambiguous, that is to say, it has very few details that allow us to probe into it and extract details that predict when Maitreya will come.  But there are a few Buddhist prophecies that are more specific to the time when the Maitreya will arise:

“After my decease, first will occur the five disappearances.  And what are the five disappearances?  The disappearance of attainments [to Nirvana], the disappearance of the method [inability to practice wisdom, insight and the four purities of moral habit], the disappearance of learning [loss of men who follow the Dharma], the disappearance of the symbols [the outward forms, the robes and practices of Buddhism], the disappearance of the relics…”

“Then when the Dispensation of the perfect Buddha is 5,000 years old, the relics, not receiving reverence and honor will go to places where they can receive them… This, Sariputta, is called the disappearance of relics” (The Surangama Sutra).

The above passage clearly predicts, as so many other religions of the world have, that when society degrades and God (and His religion) are thought of as second to intellectualism, then the Savior will appear.  Likewise, in the Bible, we find the confusion that must take place before the coming of the Messiah, and in THOTH we find an explanation for it:

“‘Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.  Even so. Amen.’ (Rev. 1:7).  ‘Cloud’ means confusion.  He comes whenever confusion comes to humanity.  ‘When righteousness is weak and faints and unrighteousness exults in pride [confusion], then my Soul arises on earth’ (Bhagavad-Gita 4:7).  ‘Every eye shall see him,’ means that those who have their eyes opened (third eyes) will see him.  ‘They also which pierced him’ means that those who pierced him will also see his glory.  When it is said that he will come from the sky, the sky means the same as heaven, and heaven means Pure Consciousness.  So he comes from Pure Consciousness, or he comes as an Avatar (god-man)” (THOTH, Revelation Of The Revelation, T1, V21-24).

We can see that the same conditions are given in all religions.  Each religion gives only a slightly different account of the times before the coming of the Messiah, and each religion likewise gives only a slightly different description of how the Messiah will come. Nevertheless, with all the promises of moral degradation and societal deterioration and likewise with all the promises of a coming Messiah, it must be realized that all the religions of the world, in their own manner, are predicting the same event.  This is to say that the titles Mahdi, Christ, Krishna, Shah-Bahram, Kalki, Maitreya, Muhammad, and the like, are interchangeable just as the prophecies that herald each of their appearances are likewise.  The world, in all its niches and groups, are awaiting the same thing, that they all await Maitreya.
One of the most significant of these prophecies of the world, are the ones that give dates or times by which we may recognize when the Messiah will arise.  The prophecy given by Buddha gives a near to exact date of when the Maitreya will come.  The clue that helps us to understand when the Maitreya will be manifested is:

“ . . . when the Dispensation of the perfect Buddha is 5000 years old.”

Buddha, who was sent to India, spoke to a Hindu audience, in terminology that they could relate to and understand.  Considering that Buddha was speaking to followers of Hinduism, He was speaking in terms of the Hindu system of dating.
Hinduism is expecting the appearance of the Kalki Avatar, shortly after the beginning of the Krita age and the end of the Kali age.  The exact date of when the Kali age ends and the Krita age begins is unknown.  However, it has been estimated that the Kali age ended at noon on the first of August 1943 A.D.  Assuming then that this date is correct, the Buddhist equivalent year (which pertains to the Dispensation of the perfect Buddha lasting 5,000 years) would be approximately the year 2,486 in the Buddhist era.

“If, Ananda, women had not retired from the household life to the houseless one, under the doctrine and discipline announced by the Tathagata, Dharma Ananda would long endure; a thousand years would the good Dharma abide.  But since, Ananda, women have now retired from the household life to the houseless one, under the doctrine and the discipline announced by the Tathagata, not long Ananda, will Dharma endure; but five hundred years Ananda, until the Dharma abide” (Vinya Pitaka II. 253 ff).

Buddha had previously promised that the Dharma would last for 5,000 years, which if broken down is really five periods of one thousand years, each period representing one of the five disappearances.  After the fifth period, that is five thousand years, the Dharma would disappear and the true message of Buddha would be lost. However, Buddha contests that because He has allowed women to participate in the fullness of Buddhist life, He would halve the time until the Dharma’s expiration from five periods of one-thousand years (5,000 years), to five periods of five-hundred years (2,500 years). According to Buddha, and explanation above, the Dharma would disappear 2,500 years after His Dispensation began (1957 A.D.), and shortly after the five disappearances, the Maitreya would come. This interpretation of Scripture is supported by a number of ancient Chinese’s Buddhist commentaries, here is one such example:

“The monks and stream attainers (followers) will be strong in their union with Dharma for 500 years after the Blessed One’s Parinirvana.  In the second 500 years they will be strong in meditation; in the third period of 500 years they will be strong in erudition.  In the fourth 500 years period they will only be occupied with gift giving.  The final or fifth period of 500 years will see only fighting and reproving among the monks and followers.  The pure Dharma will then become invisible (disappear)” (Abhidharmakosha, 4.12c. III. p. 41).

From these two examples we may conclude that Maitreya should arise sometime around 1957 A.D.  However, are there any other clues for the date of the Maitreya?  Yes, and we will review one more before we reach our conclusion:

“I have another prophecy, also, Tibetan: It is predicted that the manifestation of Maitreya shall come after the wars…” (Maitreya Lord of the World, by Dr. M. Doreal).

Here is the conclusion that we have reached: (1) The Maitreya would have to arise sometime after the Kali age and at the beginning of the Krita age, which would be sometime after August 1st, 1943.  (2) Around 2,500 years after the beginning of the Dispensation of the Buddha, the Maitreya would arise.  This would be around 1957 A.D.  (3) The Maitreya would come after the great wars, in an age that was beginning to prosper and rebuild.  With these three points we can reach our final conclusion that is: Maitreya will arise between the year 1943 A.D. and 1957 A.D.

[Note: The date of 1957 is based on dating 2,500 years from 544 B.C., one of the possible dates given for Buddha’s death (beginning of Buddha’s Dispensation, the “Buddhist era”).  Another possible date to begin this count is 483 B.C.  In this case, adding 2,500 years leads us to the date 2017.  The overall meaning is the same – we should expect Maitreya to come at this time in history – but the date of 2017 is especially interesting as it is the date Maitreya chose as the end of the 12,000 years of history of present man and beginning of the Golden Age!  For more information, see the Newsbrief article Buddhism and the Year 2017.]
More Hints About Who The Maitreya Will Be:

“The Lord replied, ‘Maitreya, the best of men, will then leave the Tushita heavens, and go for his last rebirth.  As soon as he is born he will walk seven steps forward, and where he puts down his feet a jewel or a lotus will spring up.  He will raise his eyes to the ten directions, and will speak these words:  ‘This is my last birth.  There will be no rebirth after this one.  Never will I come back here, but, all pure, I shall win Nirvana.” (Buddhist Scriptures by Edward Conze)

Buddha tells us several key things about Maitreya and Maitreya’s Message.  The first of these is that Maitreya will leave “the Tushita heavens.”  That is to say that Maitreya comes from heaven to earth.  The same thing was said about Christ in the Bible.
The words, “and go for his last rebirth,” refers to this being Christ’s final appearance on earth as Messiah that is recorded in all Scriptures.  He will bring the Final Revelation of God to man (Revelation chapter five).  He Opens the Book Sealed with the Seven Seals and Reveals the Unity of all Religions.  So, what Buddha is saying is that Maitreya (Christ Spirit) is the final appearance of the Buddha, as Kalki is the final Avatar of Vishnu and the Seventh Angel, Maitreya is on earth. When He comes a jewel will arise which is His Teachings.  The second meaning is concerned with Maitreya’s revelation of the unfolding lotus petal, which is the base of the Mission’s sign. And finally, in regards to the words, “This is my last birth.  There will be no Great Revelation after this one. Never will I come back here, but, all pure, I shall win Nirvana,” simply confirms the statement in the Bible said about the Seventh Angel,

“But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel… the mystery of God should be finished…(Rev 10:7).”

The Whore of Babylon or Babylon the Great is a female figure and also place of evil mentioned in the Book of Revelation in the Bible. Her full title is given as “Babylon the Great, the Mother of Prostitutes and Abominations of the Earth.”

PASSAGES IN REVELATIONS

The “great whore”, of the biblical Book of Revelation is featured in chapters 17 and 18.
17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. [“Fornication” is interpreted/translated as “idolatry” in the Amplified Bible (AMP), the New American Bible mentions “harlotry”]
17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

17:12 And the ten horns which thou saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
17:15 And he said unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.

SYMBOLISM

The Whore is associated with the Antichrist and the Beast of Revelation by connection with an equally evil kingdom. (The word “Whore” can also be translated metaphorically as “Idolatress”). The Whore’s apocalyptic downfall is prophesied to take place in the hands of the image of the beast with seven heads and ten horns. There is much speculation within Christian eschatology on what the Whore and beast symbolize as well as the possible implications for contemporary interpretations.

JERUSALEM

Alan James Beagley, David Chilton, J. Massyngberde Ford, Peter Gaskell, Kenneth Gentry, Edmondo Lupieri, Bruce Malina, Iain Provan, J. Stuart Russell, Milton S. Terry and theologians point out that although Rome was the prevailing pagan power in the 1st century when the Book of Revelation was written, the symbolism of the whore of Babylon refers not to an invading infidel of foreign power, but to an apostate false queen, a former “bride” who has been unfaithful and who, even though she has been divorced and cast out because of unfaithfulness, continues to falsely claim to be the “queen” of the spiritual realm. This symbolism did not fit the case of Rome at the time. Proponents of this view suggest that the “seven mountains” in Rev 17:9 are the seven hills on which Jerusalem stands and the “fall of Babylon” in Rev 18 is the fall and destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

Several Old Testament prophets referred to Jerusalem as being a spiritual harlot and a mother of such harlotry (Isaiah 1:21; Jeremiah 2:20; Jeremiah 3:1–11; Ezekiel 16:1–43; Ezekiel 23, Galatians 4:25). Some of these Old Testament prophecies as well as the warnings in the New Testament concerning Jerusalem are in fact very close to the text concerning Babylon in Revelation, suggesting that John may well have actually been citing those prophecies in his description of Babylon.

For example, in Matthew 23:34–37 and Luke 11:47–51, Jesus himself assigned all of the bloodguilt for the killing of the prophets and of the saints (of all time) to the Pharisees of Jerusalem, and, in Revelation 17:6 and 18:20,24, almost identical phrasing is used in charging that very same bloodguilt to Babylon. This is also bolstered by Jesus’ statement that “it’s not possible for a prophet to be killed outside of Jerusalem.” (Luke 13:33).

August 21, 2017 Total Solar Eclipse of the United States !

My recent study regarding the omens that solar eclipses bring as judgment upon gentile nations has brought me to the conclusion that this solar eclipse will be a warning of impending natural catastrophe, and also will involve the warning of a war that the United States and Israel will be entangled in.

As with all solar eclipses, this one is HUGE in it’s timing, total coverage, and exclusivity with the United States. It’s been an entire generation ago when a eclipse of this magnitude covered the United States.

In 1917, during a jubilee year, the nation of Israel called Palestine was conquered and removed from the Turks of the Ottoman Empire. It was at this time that the “official” generation that Jesus speaks of in Matthew 24 begins…”this generation shall not pass away until ALL these things shall come to pass.”

The longest time period for a generation in scripture is 100 years. This added to 1917, is 2017.

War was being waged at the time during the Ottoman Empires control of Palestine, and I believe that this scenario will be happening again at the end of this generation. In fact, there has never been a more favorable time frame of seeing bible prophecy fulfilled than in this time frame and our generation.

The date of this published article being March 19th, 2016, I truly believe that we will see an escalated amount of war take place in the middle east. I also see the favorable potential of Turkey leading a coalition of middle eastern countries to war with Israel, along with countries from the EU. This will all come about during a time when “Peace and Security” is being proclaimed.

With recent headlines proclaiming Turkey is now a member of the EU, we see a revived Roman Empire beginning to take shape. We see the spoil of the booty being announced with Israel’s Natural Gas and Oil finds in the Mediterranean Sea, and the Golan Heights.

We see Damascus on the verge of complete destruction, and I also believe that Turkey will lead the way to conclude the war in Syria and remove Damascus as Isaiah 17 prophesied. The recent bombings and terrorist attacks in Turkey will have Syrian ties, and bring the leader of Turkey into the arena to finish off what Russia left behind.

Extremist groups based in Syria including ANF (Al Nusra Front) and Daesh have the capacity to carry out attacks in neighbouring countries, including Turkey. Media reports suggest that terrorists could target areas throughout Turkey, including Ankara, Istanbul and areas close to the Syrian border.

Daesh has targeted border crossings and nearby locations on the Syrian side of the border. The 20 July attack in Suruc, Sanlurfa province, is believed to have been carried out by individuals associated with Daesh. Daesh is also believed to have been responsible for the 10 October 2015 suicide bombings in Ankara, which killed over 100 people. The Turkish government have said that Daesh was responsible for the 12 January 2016 attack in Istanbul in which 10 foreign tourists were killed.

Turkey shares a long border with Syria. Thousands of foreign nationals, including some British nationals, have used Turkey as a transit route for joining terrorist groups including ANF and Daesh in Syria.

Recently, these terror attacks have occurred in Turkey with direct ties from Syria:

On 13 March 2016 a bombing in central Ankara killed more than 30 people.

There was an explosion near a military base in central Ankara on 17 February 2016. The Turkish authorities have confirmed that 28 people were killed and 61 injured.

There was a mortar attack on Sabiha Gokcen airport in Istanbul while the airport was closed for the night on 23 December 2015.

There were 2 explosions near the main Ankara train station in the Ulus area on 10 October 2015. At least 100 people were killed and more than 180 injured.

On 19 August 2015 there was an incident involving gunfire and a sound grenade in an attack on Turkish national police guards stationed outside Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul. On 10 August, 2 people opened fire outside the US Consulate-General in Istanbul.

Turkey therefore has numerous grievances with Syria, and would want to also remove Assad from power. Because Turkey is a NATO country, the United States would also be required to defend her.

Then to summarize thus far, I believe that this solar eclipse has significant implications to either a war starting shortly after the eclipse, or shortly before. Because of the exclusivity of America being under this eclipse, I also believe that it may be at this time that the Great Tribulation is ushered in.

We have Revelation Chapter 12 being fulfilled on September 23rd, 2017 as the stars spoken of in that chapter align for the first time in human history.

On March 21, 2016 we have 2 amber green comets appearing in our solar system and visible from earth. According to traditional oral teachings of Judaism, Noah saw a comet as a sign that God was going to destroy the earth with a flood.

Comets, when seen here on earth by the naked eye, can then indicate a judgement about to be placed upon the world by God.

I truly believe that with the path of this solar eclipse, the biblical and astrological timing of this event, and with the ever increasing chance of Israel being divided by the veto vote of Barrack Obama and the United States, that our fate is set and a warning is being given. This “fate” is non reversible. It has been prophesied to happen, and the pathway taken by leaders is assuring me that we have need to be very cautious and prepared for the days ahead.

According to other sources that we have contacted, some believe that a catastrophic earthquake will occur on the west coast particularly in the state of Oregon with the Pacific North West Subduction Plates, paralyzing the power grid and causing a tsunami along the coast of Washington State, Oregon, and Northern California. Included with the path of the solar eclipse is a direct overhead path of Yellowstone National Park. I don’t have to explain the implications of that one. As the eclipse travels across the United States from Wyoming, we have a direct crossing over the New Madrid Fault.

Three areas of grave concern, and three areas that should judgment befall this great land of ours, could totally collapse this country with untold numbers of lives lost. Could you imagine, a 10.0 earthquake on the west coast, then just a few minutes later, Yellowstone blowing it’s top, and then the final blow would be the New Madrid fault line triggering another 9.0 earthquake.

The devastation would be indescribable. But to make matters worse, it could be at this time, when we are at our weakest with infrastructure, economy, and society where chaos would be the new normal, our country would be attacked by enemies whom God would send to bring final judgment upon our land, for our involvement in dividing the land of Israel.

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, [nor the Son is not in the original Greek], but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.”

Do you see it?

Notice what the Lord Jesus says; when He returns to earth it will be JUST LIKE the days of Noah and then He describes what those days were like – “They were eating and drinking, and marrying and giving in marriage…,” but that is not all that encompasses the days of Noah. In the context of Matthew 24, verses 36 and 37 help identify the duration of the end [time-last] generation – the one that will experience the tribulation of the last three weeks and the return of the Lord Jesus.

In order to better understand what the Lord Jesus meant, we should read the Genesis account of the flood, particularly the days prior and what God said about it. Remember we are interested in knowing what the Lord Jesus meant when He said, “The last generation on earth will be JUST LIKE the days of Noah.”

In Genesis 6, God told Noah something very interesting when He said, “My Spririt shall not always strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be 120 years.”

What did God mean when He said, “Man’s days shall be 120 years?” Commentaries vary of the meaning on that phase. Some say it means that Noah preached for 120 years before the flood judgement came upon the earth. Some say it means that man’s lifespan is 120 years. Probably the first interpretation is the correct one because we know from Psalm 90 that man’s natural lifespan is seventy years or if by strength eighty.

In God’s eyes, man lives out a complete generation in seventy years. However, we know today that some people live beyond seventy years, but very few live to one hundred, and hardly anyone lives to be a hundred and twenty. Therefore, in the context of Genesis 6, I believe God was telling Noah that the last generation from Adam to Noah (the 10th generation from Adam) to the very day that the flood judgement fell upon the earth was exactly 120 years – no longer and no shorter” (See: Genesis 7:11-13).

Since we are to interpret the chapters and books of the Bible in the context of the whole Bible, then when the Lord Jesus said the generation of the Fig Tree would be JUST LIKE the days of Noah, I believe He was telling us that the end generation like Noah’s day would for a period of 120 years (There is evidence that it may be shorten by a few months, possible 7 months and 10 days – see Matthew 24:22 and Daniel 8:13-14).

In my previous revelation of the end generation, I assumed it began in 1917 with the Balfour Declaration, but the Holy Spirit gave me understanding that it actually began in 1897, the year of the FIRST ZIONIST CONGRESS HELD IN BASIL SWITZERLAND BY THEODOR HERTZL, and the first official act to prepare the way for the Jews to return to their homeland. Thus we see once again the “The Law of First Things” in operation. This was the first budding of the Fig Tree, not 1917, which was the second budding.

Now let’s apply the 120-Year Generation to the same scenario as we did for the other times, and when we do, we have a fifth evidence for the end generation ending in 2017-18:

1897 + 40 year generation = 1937. This scenario does not work because the time has passed for the final three weeks of 3 x 7 years of Tribulation and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

1897 + 50 year generation = 1947. This scenario does not work for the same reason as the 40-year generation.

1897 + 70 year generation = 1967. This scenario does not work for the same reason as the 40 and 50 year generation. However, it is interesting that in 1967 Jerusalem came back under Jewish control for the first time since the Babylonian captivity. The number 70 is definitely connected to the city of Jerusalem according  to Daniel 9:24-27.

1897 + 100 year generation = 1997. This scenario does not work for the same reason as the 40, 50, and 70 generation.

1897 + 120 year generation = 2017 0r 2018

(The Hebrew Civil Year begins in September and the Sacred Year begins in March. Therefore, the biblical numbers having to do with a complete generation pertaining to testing, release or deliverance, captivity and judgement.

1977-78 (The Year Israel reached maturity) + 40 years [testing]=2017/18.

1967 (The year Jerusalem was retaken by Israel) + 50 years [jubilee/deliverance] = 2017.

1947/8 (The year Israel was reborn as a nation) + 70 years [captivity prophecy fulfilled] = 2017/8.

1917 (the year the Balfour Declaration was issued) + 100 years [captivity] = 2017.

1897 (The year of the first Zionist Congress) + 120 years [judgement] = 2017.

Should the Lord tarry, and the Rapture has not yet occurred, we as Christians need to be prepared for such a calamity, for we know that persecution, with financial and governmental consequences would be imposed on all Americans, and especially Christians. Is this going to happen? The possibilities outweigh the odds of it not happening.

It’s not a matter of if..but when..and 2017 is shaping up to be a year of biblical proportions….are you ready? Are you a born again holy ghost filled bible believing Christian?

Emergence of The Suffyani

The emergence of the suffyani (a descendant of Abu Sufyan) will emerge before Imam Mahdi from the depths of Damascus.

According to some weak narration his name will be Urwa bin Muhammed and his Kuniya ‘Abu-Utba’. The Ahadith regarding the Suffyani specify that he is a tyrant who will spread corruption and mischief on the earth before Imam Mahdi. He will be such a tyrant that he will kill the children and rip open the bellies of women. When he hears about the Mahdi, he will send an army to seize and kill him. However the Earth will swallow this army before it even reaches Imam Mahdi.

Abu Huraira (R.A.) has narrated that the Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him said, ”A man will emerge from the depth of Damascus. He will be called Suffyani. Most of those who follow him will be from the tribe of Kalb.

He will kill by ripping the stomachs of women and even kill the children. A man from my family will appear in Haram, the news of his advent will reach the Suffyani and he will send forth one of his armies. He (referring to Imam Mahdi) will defeat them.

They will then travel with whoever remains until they come to a desert and they will be swallowed . None will be saved except the one who had informed the others about them. ” (Mustadarak)

The Euphrates will disclose mountain of gold

The Euphrates Will Disclose Mountain of Gold The final hour will not come until the river Euphrates (which flows through Syria and Iraq and finally opens in the Gulf) will disclose a mountain of gold over which people will fight and die. It should be noted that this is a sign, which will precede Imaam Mahdi only according to some Ulama.

Abu Huraira (R.A.) reported that the Messenger of Allah Peace and blessings be upon him said, ”The hour shall not occur until the Euphrates will disclose a mountain of gold  over which people will fight . Ninety- nine out of which hundred shall be killed and every one of them will say’ Perchance I shall be the one to succeed. ”(Muslim)

In another narration we have been told that whoever is present at the time when the Euphrates discloses a mountain of gold should not take the gold.

The Battle in Mina

Before Imaam Mahdi emerges an inter-tribal fight will take place. In the same year Haji’s will be looted and a battle will erupt in Mina in which many people will be killed.

Amr-bin-Shuaib reported from his grandfather that the Messenger of Allah Peace and blessings be upon him said, ”In Dhul-Qada (Islamic month) the tribes will fight, Hajis will be looted and there will be a battle in Mina in which many people will be slain and blood will flow until it runs over the Jamara-tul-aqba.

Their companions (referring to Imaam Mahdi) will flee to a point between the Corner and the Maqaam and will be forced to accept people’s allegiance.” (Al-Fitan Nuaim-b-Hammad).
